Well child exams are extended visits scheduled at regular intervals as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to allow our providers to monitor your child's growth and development
and identify any physical or behavioral problems that may arise. During these visits, we ask age-appropriate questions about your child (things like eating habits, sleeping, and activity, for example)
that will help us identify problems. We also perform a complete physical examination, age-appropriate vision and hearing screening, and certain laboratory procedures. Safety concerns specific to the
child's age are discussed with the parent and child.
Coverage for well exams varies among insurance plans. You may be responsible for charges if your insurance does not cover well exams.
Well visit appointments should be scheduled one to two months in advance. We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours ahead if you need to reschedule.
We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics’ guidelines for well visit appointments. We recommend a schedule of routine well visits, screening, and immunizations to help your
